Confirm the dates locally
Ramadan dates depend on the calendar or moon-sighting practice your community follows, and neighbouring communities can begin a day apart. This tool works in Gregorian dates and does not announce the start or end of Ramadan. Choose any date inside the Gregorian month, or months, that Ramadan covers for you.
Suhoor and iftar in the timetable
Two columns matter most for fasting. Fajr marks the end of suhoor: eating stops when Fajr begins. Maghrib marks iftar: the fast is broken at sunset. Some printed timetables add an earlier imsak time as a precaution; this site shows the calculated Fajr only, so apply any margin your mosque recommends yourself.
Umm al-Qura Isha adjustment
The Umm al-Qura preset places Isha 90 minutes after Maghrib. The library’s documentation notes an additional 30 minutes during Ramadan. Set the Isha adjustment to +30 under High latitudes and adjustments when that matches your community’s practice. This tool does not switch the offset on automatically, and the setting note under the table records whether it is applied.
Build the Ramadan month
- Select your city, or open a city page and follow its Ramadan link so the location is already set.
- Enter a date in the month Ramadan falls in and check the method your mosque uses.
- Calculate, then download the CSV or print. If Ramadan spans two Gregorian months, repeat for the second month.
Daylight-saving changes inside the month are handled by the time zone, so a March or October Ramadan needs no manual correction.
Tarawih and congregation
Tarawih, iqamah and Jumu’ah times are set by each mosque and are not calculated here. Use this timetable for the fast itself and take congregation times from your mosque’s own schedule.
