What changes under the Hanafi convention
Only Asr moves. Under the standard convention Asr begins when a vertical object’s shadow equals its own length plus the shadow it cast at noon. The Hanafi school waits until the shadow reaches twice the object’s length, so Asr starts later, by around 40 minutes to an hour depending on the season and latitude. Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Maghrib and Isha are identical under both settings.
Keep Hanafi selected for any city
The Asr convention control above is set to Hanafi on this page. Choose any starter city or enter coordinates; the city changes the method preset but leaves the Asr convention as you set it. The settings note under the result confirms Hanafi Asr on every calculation.
Hanafi Asr in a monthly timetable
The calendar link under the calculator carries the Hanafi setting with the city and date, so the whole month, its CSV file and the print layout use the later Asr without any extra step.
Isha is a method setting, not a school setting
Some Hanafi communities also prefer an 18-degree Isha rather than ISNA’s 15 degrees. That is controlled by the calculation method, not the Asr convention: the Karachi and Muslim World League presets both use 18 degrees for Fajr, and Karachi uses 18 degrees for Isha too.
